About Fundraising Gala Auctions

Quick Tips to read BEFORE arriving to auction2024-09-20T18:14:14-05:00

Find below some quick tips everyone should know before arriving at the auction.

  • All Auctions are Open to the Public and anyone can attend. You must attend an On-Site Auction if you want to bid. This is the fairest for those who attend the auction (Telephone or Proxy Bids are excluded).
  • A deposit is required to grant access to the auction. This deposit is credited towards any purchases and is refundable if you wish to leave. We created this deposit process to ensure bidders do not walk after bidding occurs. Each deposit varies depending upon the auctions, a typical deposit is $100 (*subject to change, depending on auction).
  • After the deposit is received, show your state-issued ID / Driver’s License and any applicable tax information. You have the opportunity to preview the auction items.
  • Items bought are “As-Is”. There is NO warranty expressed, written, or implied on the goods sold at the auction.
  • Please be courteous to everyone at the auction, if someone is disruptive, they will be asked to leave the premises.
  • Winning bidders of an item must pay that day or make payment arrangements before leaving the auction.
  • PICKUP WINNING ITEMS: Pick up your winning items from the auction by the following Thursday.
  • 10% buyer’s premium applies plus State Sales Tax
  • Out-of-State bidders are welcome. For out-of-state purchases of firearms, we must ship the firearm using your state’s FFL Dealer. The buyer is responsible for Shipping and Insurance.
I’m a high bidder on an item, Where do I find information about Pickup & Removal? and Why is this date & time important?2024-09-19T12:33:16-05:00

Pickup & Removal information can always be found in two (2) places:

1. On the home page or main calendar page. The date, time, and location are listed.

2. On each item page, in the box labeled “terms and conditions., the date, time & location are listed, as well as the “location” column. It is so very important that you come to the scheduled pickup.

Removal of Auction Items

1. BoldBids,L.L.C. is under contract on every auction we perform. Based on the terms of the contract all items must be removed by a certain date & time. BoldBids must then return keys and are not allowed entry after a certain date and time. If we can’t get in you can’t get in.

2. The auction calendar is created months in advance. A great deal of time & effort goes into the planning and arrangement of the calendar. Please respect this.

3. Keep in mind that the seller is having an auction for a reason. The seller wants the items to leave the premises.

4. If you, or a representative for you, can NOT attend the scheduled pickup date, time, and location then please forgo (do not) bid. Please respect this.

I bid $ x.xx amount and the program said it accepted my bid, but I am not the high bidder? Why?2024-09-19T08:51:30-05:00

Someone has previously placed an auto-bid or a max-bid amount higher than your bid. See item #6 above. Always look to make sure that your bidder number shown on home page next to your name where it says, “Welcome, John Doe (1234)”, is listed on the item as the High Bidder. You should refresh your web page to make sure of the current information.

1. To place a maximum bid or an auto-bid, just enter the maximum amount you are willing to bid on an item and enter that amount where it says “Place Bid”.

2. The program will bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid.

3. Always remember to refresh your page to see current price.

4. Remember when placing auto-bids that our site does not use pennies (0.19, 0.77, 0.99, etc). All bids are in whole dollars and must be a complete & full bid increment above the last bid. Please check the item to make sure that your bidder number is listed as the High Bidder, if not, then you are not the successful bidder.
